The Rev Tom DuMontier

Rev Tom DuMontier

Tom is a native of Madison, Mississippi.  He is a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.  After college, Tom moved to Staunton, Virginia to spend a summer.  That one summer turned into a 19-year stay.  In Staunton, Tom worked at the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind, Habitat for Humanity, and was involved with community radio.  But he found something missing in his life.  That missing piece was a call to ordained ministry in the Episcopal Church.  Tom and his family answered the call and moved to Sewanee, Tennessee where he received his MDiv from the University of the South.  Tom is excited about St. John’s and God’s presence in this community.  Tom is married to Nicole Royse DuMontier.  They have 2 daughters (Wallis and Saskia) who are passionate about coffee hour baked goods.

The Venerable Brian Hutcherson

Brian discerned a call to the diaconate in 2011, and was ordained in April 2016. He served at St. Luke's Simeon, outside of Charlottesville, for three and a half years. He helped the congregation establish an outreach ministry that provided diapers to babies and mentoring relationships with their mothers.  Brian also volunteered with Love INC of Charlottesville in the Redemptive Compassion program.

Brian and his wife Amy were married in 2013. Amy, is also from the Waynesboro area. She works as a school psychologist with the Waynesboro City Schools. She enjoys singing in the Waynesboro Choral Society. They have twin girls, Kate and Maggie.
